Internet Settings





Sony Ericsson

Go To Menu → Setting → wireless networks → Mobile Networks → then you have to Enable Data Network for Mobile then → Access Point Names → then Click Option Button and Select New APN.

  1. Name : MTN INTERNET

  2. APN : INTERNET.MTN.COM.AF

  3. Proxy : Optional

  4. Port : Optional

  5. Username Optional

  6. Password: optional

  7. Server : Empty

  8. MMSC: Empty

  9. MMS Proxy : Empty

  10. MMS Port: Empty

  11. MCC : Empty

  12. MNC: Empty

  13. Authentication type: Empty

  14. APN Type: Empty

  15. APN Protocol: Empty​

Configuring the Service settings

Go to CONNECT and select Data Comm. → Data accounts → Add account → GPRS data → Next ( for each of the fields enter)

  1. Name – MTN internet

  2. APN – internet.mtn.com.af

  3. User name

  4. Password

  5. Click Save

GPRS

Go to Connectivity and select WAP options → WAP profiles → New profile → Next (for each of the fields enter)

Apple iPhone 2G, 3G, 3Gs, 4G, 4Gs & 5G Manual Settings

  1. Start screen → Setting → General → Network → Cellular Data Network → Edit details for Cellular Data

  2. APN: internet.mtn.com.af

  3. Username: Optional

  4. Password: Optional

  5. Return to the Start screen.

  6. Switch the iPhone 3G off and then on again to activate the settings.

Apple iPad, iPad2, iPad mini

  1. Start screen → Settings → Cellular Data → Cellular Data and enable this option

  2. APN:internet.mtn.com.af

  3. Username:Optional

  4. Password:Optional

  5. Return to the Start screen.

  6. Switch the iPad off and then on again to activate the settings.

Internet via GPRS settings for i-mate jam

  1. Select Start → Settings.

  2. Select Connections tab → Connections.

  3. Under My ISP select Add a new modem connection.

  4. Fill your parameters as shown below: 
    Enter
    Name for the connection: MTN Internet
    Select a modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)

  5. Select Next. 
    Access point name: Internet.mtn.com.af

  6. Select Next.

  7. Select OK and then Finish.

  8. To start Internet select Start at the top left corner, then select Internet Explorer.​

Go To Menu → Setting → Wireless Networks → Mobile Networks → Access Point Names → Then Click Option Button and Select New APN.

INTERNET over HSDPA

·  Insert Huawei E160 USB Modem into PC

·  MTN Broadband Wireless Setup Wizard appears → Click Next

·  License Agreement → Click I agree

·  Installation Location → Click Next

·  Start Menu Folder → Click Install

·  Installation process begins

·  Completing the MTN broadband Wireless Setup Wizard

·  Click Finish

·  Go to PC’s Desktop

·  Click MTN Broadband Wireless Desktop Icon

·  Choose Profile Name Broadband.mtn.com.af

·  Click Connect​

Huawei -220

INTERNET over HSDPA

Note: Install the E620 Huawei Mobile Connect Software from the CD included in the box. Follow the installation procedure provided in the Quick Start Guide. Configure the Internet service using the following procedures. 

  1. Launch Mobile Connect application

  2. Click Settings (Pull down menu)

  3. Select Network Connections Settings…

  4. Network Connection Settings → Click New

  5. Select Profile name

  6. Enter Profile name: MTN internet

  7. Authentication → Enter Number: *99#

  8. Leave User name: Blank

  9. Click Password: Blank

  10. APN and Additional Settings → Tick Static

  11. Enter APN: internet.mtn.com.af

GPRS/WAP

Select Main menu → WAP Services → Profiles. 
Select a profile and press Select. 
Profile Name: MTN Internet 
Select Settings, change the following values:

  1. Home page: http://www.google.com

  2. Connection type: Continue

  3. Security settings: No

  4. Service type: GPRS

  5. GPRS Settings:

  6. Proxy:

  7. APN: internet.mtn.com.af

  8. User ID: Blank

  9. Password: Blank

  10. Waiting time: 300

  11. The settings are complete.​

    – port: 8080
